Cadiz

Yesterday, as planned earlier, we went on a trip to Cadiz. Cadiz is one of the oldest, if not the oldest towns in Europe. It's history dates back 3000 years to the times of Phoenicians. We walked around the town through beautifull narrow streets. We admired the historic buildings and places. The greatest part of our trip was the beach where we sunbathed and some of us even bathed in the Atlantic Ocean. We also saw some exotic plants and we tried delicious local tapas.

 

Friday

On the fifth day of practice, in the morning, we went to SAFA school. The day was very similar to yesterday. At school we started making our own projects. We had to use the skill which we have learned so far. After classes half of the group went to Feria de Abril, the rest of us stayed at the residence. We also went to see the funfair. The atmosphere was very good and relaxed. We vistited a lot of interesting places and then we came back to the residence. Tommorow we are going to visit the oldest town in Spain, Cadiz.

Feria de Abril de Sevilla

On the fourth day of our stay in Spain in the morning we went to SAFA School. Today we made a toy for Mr. Javier's son.  After classes we went to Feria de Abril which is one of the greatest and most important holidays in Spain. There were a lot of horses and beautiful carts. Women were dressed in the traditional dresses. A lot of Andalusians were dancing Sevillana, a traditional local dance and drinking a lot of wine. Each prominent family has their own Caseta (a kind of big tent) where they meet and celebrate. Feria de Abril lasts for a week.

Trip

On the fourth day we had trip to the center of Seville.We had free time to explore the Old Town.We tried food which Spanish people usually eat for breakfast ,Churros, and it was tasty.After a couple of hours of sightseeing we went to the school where we had difficult lessons about 3D design.

First contact with Spanish

On the third day we had our first Spanish lesson. For some of us it was the first contact with that language. After three hours of hard work we learned lots of new words and basic phrases and finished our lesson. Then we had about 2 hours of free time. At 3:30 p.m. we went to training classes. We had more difficult exercises today but we managed to do them quite well. After practise we came back to the residence by bus, ate supper and prepared for the next day of our Spanish adventure.

 

2016-04-11

On the second day of practise we started with a meeting with Anastasia who introduced us to the most important information. Then we went on a tour around  the main sites and monuments of Seville.We went to the center by bus. We started from of Plaza de Espana. The views were amazing,the square was very is huge and its history is interesting. Then we strolled through the park of Maria Luiza  where there was a variety of trees but mostly we liked the orange threes, we also saw many interesting birds and plants. We continued our tour and we came to the Gold Tower, in which formerly gold was stored. Then we went in the direction of the cathedral, its history and buildings located around it were fascinating, we saw there the statue of Pope John Paul II.

After sightseeing we went to the school where we started our 3d course. We had different tasks to do, the atmosphere was really great. We learned many interesting things. In the evening we returned to the residence. We spent the day actively and saw and experienced a lot and we have received a lot of information.

First day - 10.04.2016

Today, after over a month of preparing to practice, we arrived to Seville.
We began our journey at 2 am at school. We said goodbye to our parents and went straight to the Cracow Airport “Balice”.

Some of us had never flown so they were a little scared, including me. We left at 6.30 am and the flight took only one and a half hours. In Frankfurt we had only hour to get to the right terminal. We had to walk all over the airport and had no time to sat down. In 30 min we took off and flew to Malaga. At 12 am we finally landed. We didn't have to wait too long for our baggage.
When we left the airport the bus which had to take us to Seville was already waiting. There was wi-fi so everyone went online to check Facebook etc. In Malaga the temperature was really high but when we were closer and closer to Seville the weather was getting worse. It rained a bit. As we arrived, Anastazja welcomed us. We had a quick meeting were we got keys, the schedule and the bus tickets. We were really hungry, so we had supper ealier. We relaxed and some of us went sleeping. In the evening we watched some television and went shopping.
Tommorow we have Welcome Session and the first practice.
